The Blues have gone down to Eastlake at footy park despite dominating the 1st and last quarters. It was in the middle of the game where the run stopped, concentration lapsed and the Blues were outscored 10 goals to 4. The Blues came home with 5 last quarter goals, but the damage had been done and Eastlake ran out eventual 11 point winners.
The near-by Canberra hospital copped a work out with an Eastlake player suffering a broken arm, Nato tearing his knee cap off the bone requiring surgery, and Frenchy braking his leg.
This week is the final match for the Blues in the 2011 season. It is against the Jets at 2pm at Footy Park, Phillip on Saturday. Hope to see everyone there for the game and back at the Irish Club after the game.
